RIDERS REPORT
Tuchekoi Forest around Mount Karora
Things start to get a bit spicy with some short sharp climbs but make sure not to use all your biscuits up here because we've got some even bigger ones once we pop out the other side of the forest
Mid-section climbing
We've got a lot of climbing in the midsection of the course and then some extra climbing thrown in towards the end
Single track sections
The climbs are still steep so you know take it in your stride don't get upset if you got to get off the wall because trust me people at the front of the race will be too
First few k's are flatter trails with a lot of double track and pieces of single track
Much of the noosa trail network is a ton of fun and just like swooping through some of the trees on these multi-use trails and old forest roads

From the Field

Over the 100 kilometer course it's quite a demanding course in terms of the distance that you need to cover but it's also really scenic course too you get out into the nursery hinterland go through lots of the villages there great views to the ocean plus you get to ride a lot of the single track.

The nursery enduro course while it starts nice and flat around the tawonton edges we actually do climb up a fair bit we've got a lot of climbing in the midsection of the course and then some extra climbing thrown in towards the end before we head back here.

One great thing about the new student enduro on 30th of july is that it does create a perfect weekend to get away up to the beautiful sunshine coast and lose the hinterland area if you want to escape a cold winter from down south

RIDERS REPORT
Just chill at this point you've got plenty of racing to come - if people are getting in front of you that's all good there's some really big hills coming
Keep a bit of a distance off the rider in front give yourself two or three bike lengths so you don't get caught up behind any mistakes that they make
If you're coming through the speed zone make sure you have plenty of hydration take something to eat keep yourself on track for having smiles at the end
Pacing and strategy is key to making the most out of it

Frequently Asked Questions

July in Queensland hinterland means cool, dry winter conditions - pleasant for riding but hardly inspiring. You're looking at mild temperatures that won't create memorable stories about heat survival or weather battles. Safe, predictable conditions that won't add drama to your day. More weather exposure than Belgian Waffle Ride San Diego.[5]

Noosa Tewantin Cricket Club for packet pickup and established festival infrastructure show solid organization. Starting from Olive Donaldson Pavilion with wave starts indicates they've thought through congestion management. Being part of an existing MTB festival means proven logistics systems, even if the gravel component feels newer to their operation.[1]

The multi-terrain experience spans 'sealed, gravel and private roads, fire roads, single track, pitted fields, rocky sections' through Noosa's hinterland. One rider infiltrated the course 'on the road bike with 23mm Maxxis Refuse tyres' encountering 'gravel and single trail' - testament to the surface variety.[1]

This is explicitly 'a non-competitive event with just one category for all riders and no prizes given' - zero career cache. The marketing positions it as 'not a cycling event' but rather 'an all terrain adventure' within a broader MTB festival where gravel feels secondary to the main attractions.[11]

If you're in Queensland or planning a Noosa trip—yes, it's a good event with excellent terrain. If you're traveling from afar—the tourist town costs and regional field make it a harder sell unless you're combining with tourism.
